12 People Gabbed:
Forget the clean desktop - I'm jealous of those clean countertops!
Oh, yeah, and the computer's nice too ;)
Nice. So what kind did you get after all that research?
Woohoo! It looks fab!
Laughing, Leah. I just shoved everything aside so it would look like I have clean countertops, LMAO!
Stacy, it's an HP dv4-1465dx. It's got 4GB of RAM and 320 of hard drive. I was pretty insistent about size and speed. I actually wanted to go bigger, but it was already getting pricey, LOL.
The only drawback is that I had to give up XP and move to Vista, which, can I say? I already HATE! But I'll get a free upgrade to Windows 7 in October and I can only pray it's better.
I still need to move all my stuff off our desktop and onto this baby, but it'll get done eventually. The best part was that it forced me to fix our network, which has been down for about 3 months. So now the boys' computer is back on the network, too.
ooooohhh, nice and shiny :D
and wow, that is speed and space :) Good choice... so what is it, 14 inches? and it's good you get a free upgrade to Windows 7. Apparently, it's really good.
Love the background :)very familiar :)
17 inches, Nath. As an IT person, I do like my monitor to be nice and big, LOL.
I was actually tempted to uninstall Vista and install XP until October, but I didn't want to invalidate the warranty.
Niice! Cute wallpaper, too! :-)
Very, very nice!
Wow that is awesome Lori! 4GB of ram!! very impressed!! Enjoy! It's beautiful!!!
Very nice Lori!!!
Wowzer!! 17 inches? LOL :) it looks smaller in the picture... Great buy :)
As an non-IT person, I just find that it's too much trouble uninstalling one program and replacing it by another... You just have a few months to put up with Vista, you can do it, Lori :D
Oh and Lori, they have the release candidate out now for Windows 7, which is what I have. AWESOME. I'd totally recommend it over Vista.
