How did I forget Kristie's crusade? North and South... and an aside about our fearless leader

Oh. My. God. What a beautiful movie. I watched it weeks ago, but completely forgot to post about it!

Loved every minute of it - from the beautiful scenes in the south to the dirty, ugly north. From Richard Armitage's beautifully intense, tender, stoic, emotion-laden John to Daniela Denby-Ashe's baby-faced, righteous, indignant, lonely Margaret.

I swear, there must be some school he went to (and got an A+) to perfect those longing, intense looks. And the ending... just gorgeous and perfect! Sigh...

And on a completely, totally unrelated note...

Can I say what an ass our president is? Only the man who insulted the Queen of England by basically calling her ugly, and accidentally calling her about 250 years old would say to the Pope, "Thank you, Your Holiness, awesome speech." Tell me again how we elected this doofus not once, but twice?
