8 Things You Could Care Less About, LOL

Here are the rules.... (copied from Anne's blog)

Da Rulez:

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

Here are my answers ~

1. I smoke. I know I must quit—for very compelling reasons. But don’t want to quit.

2. Career track for 15 plus years, I lost my job 14 months ago. Strangely enough, with all the stress—financial and marital—this year has also provided the happiest moments of my life. All with my 4 year old son. When I look back on this time, I’ll do so without apology or regret.

3. Growing up, I was supremely uncoordinated and afraid of everything. Now 40, I play and teach every kind of sport and outdoor activity there is to my pre-schooler. No clue why my athletic gene turned up so late or why the woods and the water welcome where they used to frighten.

4. I watch precisely 3 hours of TV a week. The Shield and The Sopranos on A&E.

5. I read something last week about formerly working, but now stay at home Moms losing their identity—becoming just Mom and wife. I related marginally and tucked it away to contemplate later. Then, I caught myself. I actually sort laundry by darks and whites, then by husband, son, me—combining husband and son’s and washing theirs first. I’m lost.

6. Winter is no longer an unwelcome inconvenience, but a joy.

7. I just turned to my boy and asked him to tell me something about his Momma. He said, “You read books and you help Daddy.” There you go.

8. My husband named our cat (a geriatric stray) Tyson because his eyes are crossed and he looks like he’s been knocked in the head a few times.

I'm tagging anyone left who wants to share. Just blast your intention in the comments.

LOL at the cat. Seriously funny. I was a stay-at-home mom for my kids' younger years and although it got daunting and BORING after a while, I did enjoy it and now wish I could do that at least part-time. Why, oh why, did I want a full-time career? Now if it were writing full-time that'd be different. LOL
