How did I forget Kristie's crusade? North and South... and an aside about our fearless leader

Oh. My. God. What a beautiful movie. I watched it weeks ago, but completely forgot to post about it!

Loved every minute of it - from the beautiful scenes in the south to the dirty, ugly north. From Richard Armitage's beautifully intense, tender, stoic, emotion-laden John to Daniela Denby-Ashe's baby-faced, righteous, indignant, lonely Margaret.

I swear, there must be some school he went to (and got an A+) to perfect those longing, intense looks. And the ending... just gorgeous and perfect! Sigh...

And on a completely, totally unrelated note...

Can I say what an ass our president is? Only the man who insulted the Queen of England by basically calling her ugly, and accidentally calling her about 250 years old would say to the Pope, "Thank you, Your Holiness, awesome speech." Tell me again how we elected this doofus not once, but twice?

ROTFL - How could you FORGET???
*laughing* It is wonderful isn't it? And the ending *sigh* When she grabs his hand and then he oh so gently touches her face and then *deep swoon*

And as for your leader - Can I just say I'm glad he's not ours? I'd love to say ever so much more - but best not - I'm feeling to mellow and happy you loved North and South *g*.

Well, I haven't hopped on that train and honestly I don't see myself doing it. So not my thing. But maybe in the future. We'll see. :-)

Kristie J-

I think you should have our fearless leader for awhile. Just so you can have the experience. It's been unique.

Sarah: LOL - Thanks but no thanks for the offer. I certainly have serious issues with our own leader (and - Ack! I voted for him). I will just continue to live and laugh and mourn and cry vicariously through yours.
I don't know if you have them there - but here we have calendars with Bushisms - things he's actually said throughout the last seven and a half years - and they are........something. One can only shake their head.

Ahh - but Anne - this is a train ride that I'm SURE you would enjoy *laughing*

Kristie - oh yes, we have the Bushisms calendar. And we even have a countdown calendar LOL!! As in countdown till he's out of office! Needless to say, we own it LOL!

Oh yes, N&S was completely divine. So glad you liked it Lori. Richard made it so easy to fall in love with him.

As for our fearless leader, I think the less said about him, the better LOL. Definitely not our proudest moment...

I could watch and rewatch N&S a million times and never get tired of it. It's all about the train scene.
