Do You Know...

Do any of you out there know what a bubbler is? Just an odd question because one of my friends had never heard of it before and I'm curious if it's just a Wisconsin phrase, or more wide-spread.

Thanks for your replies!

I know what a bubbler is...but only because I have family who went to school in Wisconsin and because I've seen a linguistic survey on regional word use that questioned the use of bubbler, fountain, etc.

I know what a bubbler is! It's not super-common in NH, but everybody knows what it means. I've lived so many places I'm not sure where I heard it first, but I've never been to Wisconsin. :)

I'm guessing it has nothing to do with someone who blows bubbles? lol

I don't know what you guys are referring to but here in SoCal it's a type of sprinkler head for slow watering.

I didn't check the other comments... I have no idea what a bubbler is... someone that makes bubbles? maybe in comics?

I'm not sure either, but in Texas (this part of Tx, anyway) it would be a type of container garden or flowerbed water system. I think it might also refer to a type of small decorative fountain.
