Mmm. Morels. Mmmm. Morels are mushrooms that taste like ambrosia when fried in butter (but I guess alot of stuff takes like ambrosia when fried in butter.) They are tres expensive on the market (ie. $50 per pound). They are found in the woods and the location of the best sites are highly guarded secrets.
Oh the morel is so tastey looking esp. peeking from the leaves. I so want to have some of these. I miss eating these tastey treats since moving to north Tx. Can I get some pleeeeeeeezzzzzeee kerry
LOL! Morels are mushrooms Anne. Very, very tasty mushrooms. You "hunt" them simply by walking in the woods, head down, eyes scanning every inch of the ground. Walk, walk some more, keep walking. It's great exercise and a wonderful time to spend some time in your head dreaming up stories. *g*
The guy in the turkey pic is DH. Yup.
Kerry - Not sure whether I can send some (dried) via US Mail, but I'd be happy to check at the end of season.
Jane - You're so right. Highly guarded secrets. We, like most, get pretty competitive, pretty secretive when it comes to our "spots".
4 People Gabbed:

Is the guy in the first pic your DH? Or a friend?
