Word Of The Day

querulous \KWER-uh-luhs; -yuh\, adjective:
1. Apt to find fault; habitually complaining.
2. Expressing complaint; fretful; whining.

I know quite a few querulous people... and I have been known to be a bit querulous at times also. Sometimes you can't help but be a bit querulous.

Have a great day!

Dare I say it? What an appropriate word-of-the-day for the romance readers' blogging community. LMAO!

Anne - you have balls of brass. I bow down to you Darling!

I'm alway in the dark. Whose whining where? Besides me 'cause I'm tired.

I subscribe to quite a few blogs (most pretty obscure--although no where near as obsure as mine I imagine)...and on many of them, I find a reader review...then 10 posts lamenting any and all normal, day-to-day responsibility...then another review...then a post that says the blogger is too tired or busy to write a review...and so on.

Thankfully, I use an RSS reader that allows me to scan and discard new posts quickly and easily. I don't go in for the "I hate that I have to get out of bed, clean my house, be a wife, do my job, etc" stuff. Nor do I like the rants on "how dare my employer spy on me; what do they think? That I'm blogging all day instead of working?" LOL

I mock, but really--the reader review blogs as a whole are excellent sources for new titles and interesting industry discussion. There are only a handful that indulge--openly so--in whining for the sake of whining. *G* And even those offer up an excellent reader review every once in awhile. Enough to keep me subscribing.

Well, I'm feeling privileged that you find my blog entertaining enough to keep coming back, Jen *G* I posted that word today because it is so fitting of how I am lately.... bitchy, whiny, and just plain old stressed out.... though you are correct.... querulous does describe many a person (reader and author alike) in the romance readers' blogging community. I'm finding myself running into them more and more lately. I've found avoidance to be the key and, like you, I stick to just the blogs I know and the ones that keep me entertained. : )
